Five things to do when your libido starts to wane

Let’s face it our libido is not a static thing.

We all go through times of feeling horny as buck rabbit and other times when the lure of sleep far outweighs the delights of sex. Both of these things are totally normal.

So what can you do to reignite the flames of desire?


(1) Make time for pleasure

It can be tempting to stay up binge-watching your favorite tv shows but the price to pay might just be your sex life. If you don’t make time for sex then it will disappear off the menu.
Sex is not something to be rushed. You both need to be able to savor it and not worrying about …..anything.
Your tv show will be there later. Your sex drive might not be.

Make sex a priority and give it the time it deserves.

(2) Talk about it

If you have noticed a decline in your sex drive talk to your partner. Let them know that you still find them desirable. Tell them you’ve got a lot on your mind and discuss how you can both manage the dip.
Pretending like nothing is going on isn’t going to make it go away.

(3) Get out of your head

Spend some time each day reconnecting with your body. Do some exercise – whatever you love. Dance to some music. Do whatever it takes to get out of your own head and back in touch with your body.

Another great tool for getting out of your head is journaling. Writing all that shit out so you don’t have to think about it anymore is always going to help clear your mind and give you some space to breathe.

(4) Be Present

It may be that you are approaching menopause or that you simply are stretching yourself too thin.
